Paradisical Locution from the Immaculate Conception

Paradisical Locution from The Interior Mansion (https://www.facebook.com/share/p/19wyBNNrGJ/) - (https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1YMnkkxXZH/):

Mary - The Immaculate Conception - The Mother of God - The Mother of Salvation (received while at work between the hour of grace (12pm to 1pm) - today is the feast of the Immaculate Conception): My dearly beloved children of my Immaculate Heart, whoever accepts me - The Immaculate Conception will in turn become my Immaculate conceptions - I am the New Eve - the Mother of all God's children, the New Ark of the Covenant established by my Father in the Old Testament. Due to the Virtues and Merits of my Divine Son Jesus Christ I am able as your True Mother and Mediatrix of All Graces bless and bestow those who humbly receive me through my Son, and receives Him through me will obtain incalculable and plethora of graces in order to fully live out the Gospels and live as true children of the Most High. My children will reflect the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ and my Immaculate Heart, fully endowed with our graces and blessings, completely empowered by the Holy Spirit with the power, gifts, fruits, virtues and supernatural capability in partaking of the Divinity of Christ to destroy the serpent and the antichrist, I will grant you every grace to resist temptations to commit deliberate sins that destroy the mind, body and soul, and destroy the power of the evil one in your daily lives. But you must obey His Holy Word and the Ten Commandments, live and flourish through the Sacraments of the Catholic Church, do not merely receive the Sacraments - integrate them within and throughout your lives so souls may see the change the Holy Eucharist is transforming you into - the replicated Likeness of God, painted in His Exact Image, some will reflect God in eternity more than others due to how much they cooperated with God's grace and fulfilled The Divine Will. Obedience to Jesus is the necessity in all things. Do whatever He tells you and submit to the influence of the Holy Spirit Who leads you into the chambers of Sanctity and Holy Love, and you will inherit Paradise as this is the destiny of the children of God. Adhere in compliance to our words we have given to you out of love over the past centuries and present now, utilize the prayers and devotions we have handed down to you in order to cripple the power and strongholds of Satan and his army. Everything The Eternal Father has said and done has been for your salvation dear children, allow God to save you and reject the false promises of the evil one. Allow your Mother to lead you to my Precious Son who suffered and died for your sins, who delights in dwelling with His Tabernacles polished by penance and mercy, washed with His Precious Blood and maintained in purity. The road is very narrow and only those who persevere with Jesus in the Holy Eucharist and all His Gifts will sustain their faith and love for Him until He returns to judge the living and the dead. I bless you in the name of my Son the Savior and Redeemer of mankind and with all my parental love, covering you with my holy mantle. Love Jesus with all your hearts, He loves you indescribably and without measure." - Your loving Mother to her Eucharistic Agent of the Immaculate Conception #brianroary

Mary was always the Immaculate Conception even before she was placed in the womb of St. Anne Joachim. The Immaculate Conception is her very identity as The Blessed Mother gave her name to St. Bernadette at Lourdes stating, "I am the Immaculate Conception." Just as Jesus told us What He is in the Book of John. These are declarations of What and Who they are. The Bible simply reveals the eternal identities of Jesus and Mary (Book of Luke, Wisdom and Revelation, etc) from all eternity.

The children born of Adam and Even had they not committed sin and fell would have been conceived Immaculately as was originally planned. Jesus would have also still became man through Adam and Eve had they not fallen as this is the original plan which still succeeded as it was ordained for Jesus to become man to live amongst us from the very beginning but not to suffer and redeem the human race (originally). The Immaculate Conception of Mary (The Blessing that was within Adam) is clearly stated in Luke 1:28. ('HAIL, FULL OF GRACE') That Blessing (Passed down and prepared as the New Ark by God's Divine Providence [Genesis 3:15 and Exodus - refer to the Blessing that Abraham received and all of the Old Testament] and took on human flesh as First Spotless Undefiled Temple of the Lord to give birth to the Second Person of the Holy Trinity - Jesus.) As it was meant to be in the beginning. Its biblical and the original plan of God. Mary being who and what she is - was the only appropriate vessel to give birth to God through the Second Person of the Trinity.

Some people don't actually understand or know the entire identity of our Lady and the true meaning and purpose of her being the Immaculate Conception, it's not just a concept it's a literal person. Thank God for the Holy Spirit revealing these things at the appropriate times.

God gave Mary a choice, she said yes and obeyed God undoing the knot of disobedience of Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve could not be trusted with the Immaculate Conception because they did not choose to obey God, they instead obeyed satan and that is due to the angelic powers he abused against them, the same fate would have befallen every single other soul even if God would have hypothetically 'restarted' the creation of man, which would mean...He would have to condemn Adam and Eve to eternal punishment with satan and the demons initially after they have fallen, or cause them to cease to exist God chose to do neither because of His GREAT LOVE AND MERCY FOR MANKIND. So instead He continued His Divine Plan for the establishment of His Eternal Family. Its all about humility with God. God decided to show His Humble Nature by becoming man through His own creation, His masterpiece rather than descending down from Heaven as He could, through God all things are possible. And to showcase the true response Adam and Eve should have always had with God having been infused with gifts and knowledge (but not to the degree of the angels). I highly recommend The Life of Jesus Christ and Biblical Revelations from the Visions of the Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich (below is an excerpt)

The Life of Jesus Christ and Biblical Revelations from the Visions of the Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich:

The blessing of a pure and holy multiplying out of God and by God, which Adam had received after the creation of Eve was, in consequence of that indulgence, withdrawn from him; for I saw that the instant Adam left his hill to go to Eve, the Lord grasped him in the back and took something from him. From that something, I felt that the world's salvation would come.

Once on the Feast of the Holy and Immaculate Conception, God gave me a vision of that mystery. I saw enclosed in Adam and Eve the corporal and spiritual life of all mankind. I saw that by the Fall it became corrupted, mixed up with evil, and that the bad angels had acquired power over it. I saw the Second Person of the Godhead come down and, with something like a crooked blade, take the Blessing from Adam before he had sinned. At the same instant, I saw the Virgin issuing from Adam's side like a little luminous cloud, and soaring all resplendent up to God.

MARIA VALTORTA

I am the Word, and therefore I know how to use words without error.

(Jesus is praising his Mother)

I told you earlier, "the eternal beauty of my Mother's soul."

I am the Word, and therefore I know how to use words without error.

I said "eternal," not "immortal." And I said it not without purpose.

Immortal is he who, having been born, never dies again.

Thus the soul of the just is immortal in Heaven, the soul of sinners is immortal in hell, because the soul, once created, no longer dies except to grace.

But the soul has life, it exists from the moment God thinks of it (but the soul, in reality, already has a life from the moment God thinks of it. God's thought then creates it, when it is time to infuse it. See note on page 350).

It is God's thought that creates it.

My Mother's soul has always been in the thoughts of God.

Therefore, it is eternal in its beauty, into which God has poured all perfection for His delight and comfort. (…)

Evangelo 348.10

WHAT IS GRACE?

Jesus speaks on June 6, 1943 in the Notebook 1943 about Grace to Maria Valtorta.

GRACE is to posses the light, power, and wisdom of God in yourselves --that is, to posses intellectual likeness to God, the unmistakable sign of your filiation to God.

Without grace, you would simply be animal creatures that had reached such a point in evolution as to be endowed with reason, with a soul, but a soul of earthly level, capable of acting in the circumstances of life on earth, but unable to rise up to the regions where the life of the spirit transpires. Little more than beast, then, that act instinct alone and in reality, surpass you quite often in the way of acting.

Grace is thus a sublime gift, the greatest gift that God, my Father, could give you. And He gives it to you freely, for His love as a Father, for you, is infinite, as He Himself is infinite. If we wanted to state all the attributes of grace, it would require writing a long list adjectives and nouns, and we would still not explain perfectly what this gift is.

Remember this alone :

Grace is to posses the Father, to live in the Father; grace is to posses the Son, to enjoy the infinite merits of the Son; grace is to posses the Holy Spirit, to benefits from his seven gifts. Grace in short, is to posses Us, the Triune God, and for your mortal person to surrounded by the hosts of angels who worship Us in you.

A Soul that loses grace loses everything. The Father has created her to no avail; the Son has redeemed her to no avail; the Holy Spirit has infused his gifts into her to no avail; the Sacraments exists for her to no avail.

She is dead.

A rotten branch which, under the corrosive action of sin, becomes detached and falls from the tree of life and in the end rots in the mud.

If the soul were able to preserved herself as she is after Baptism and after Confirmation--that is, when she is literally soaked with grace--that soul would be only a little less than God.

Let this tell you all.

When you read the prodigies of my saints, you are antonished. But my dear one, there is nothing to be antonished about. My saints were creatures who possessed grace; they were gods, therefore, for grace deifies you. Did I not state in my Gospel that my followers would work the same prodigies as I did? But to be mine, it is necessary to live by my life--that is, by the life of grace.

If you wanted to, you could all be capable of prodigies --that is, of holiness. Indeed, I would like you to be, for that would mean that my Sacrifice had been crowned by victory and that I had really torn you away from the empire of the Evil One, banishing him to his Hell, and riveting hell's mouth shut with an irremovable stone, and placing upon it the throne of my Mother, the Only One who kept her heel upon the dragon, who was powerless to do Her harm.

Not all souls in grace posses grace in the same measure. Not because We infuse it to different degrees, but because you manage to preserve it in yourselves in different ways.

Mortal Sins destroys grace; venial sin causes it crumbles, imperfection make it anemic.

There are souls, not entirely bad, that languish in spiritual consumption because, by their inertia, which spurs them to commit continual acts of imperfections, they increasingly thin grace out, turning it into a most slender thread, a fading little flame. When it should be a fire, an intense, lovely , purifying blaze.

The world is collapsing because grace is collapsing from in almost all souls and languishing in the other.

Grace yields different fruits to the extent that it is more or less alive in your hearts. The richer the terrain is in elements and the more it is help by the sun, the water and air currents, the more fertile it is. There are sterile, meager plots of land which are sprinkled with water to no avail, warmed the sun, transversed by the winds. The same holds for souls . There are souls that with all application take on vital elements and thus manage to benefit one hundred percent from the effects of grace.

The vital elements are to live according to my Law---chaste, merciful, humble, loving God and one's neighbour; it is to live by Living prayer,"

Then the grace grows, flourishes, seek in deep roots, and rises up into the tree of eternal life.

Then the Holy Spirit like a Sun, inundates you with his seven rays, his seven gifts, then I, the Son, penetrate you with the divine rain of my Blood, then the Father looks at you with pleasure, seeing His likeness in you, the Mary caresses you, clasping you to her breast, which bore Me, along with her little children who are lesser, but very very dear to her Heart, then the nine angelical choirs crown your soul, the temple of God, and sing the sublime Gloria'; then your death is Life and your Life is blessedness in my Kingdom."

John 21:25

And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written.

John 16:12-15

12 “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. 14 He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. 15 All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.

John 14:10

10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority; but the Father who dwells in me does his works.

John 15:11

11 These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.

Habakkuk 2:14

14 For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.

Hence why we were given by God the gifts of Private revelation through the Church:

And more!

Because the Church doesn’t invent doctrines; she discerns what God has revealed. The Immaculate Conception flows directly from Scripture, Sacred Tradition, and sound theology. Catholic doctrine oftentimes takes an extra step of logical deduction and reasoning. Let me break it down for our Catholic and non-Catholic followers:

1. God prepared the Ark of the New Covenant

Just as the Ark of the Old Covenant had to be perfect, pure, and untouched (Exodus 25), Mary, who would carry the living Word of God Himself, was prepared in a uniquely holy way.

If the Ark was made of incorruptible wood, how much more the Mother of God?

2. “Hail, Full of Grace” (Luke 1:28)

Gabriel doesn’t greet Mary by name. He calls her Kecharitomene which is a perfect tense Greek term meaning:

“You who have been perfected in grace… and remain so.”

Not “partially graced,” not “highly favored,” but completely filled with God’s grace.

A soul filled entirely with grace has no room for sin including original sin. So she MUST have been filled with this grace from her very beginning.

3. The Enmity Prophecy (Genesis 3:15)

God promises that there will be absolute enmity (total opposition) between the woman and the serpent.

If Mary had ever been under sin, even for an instant, she would not be in perfect opposition to Satan.

4. Christ’s saving work is perfect

Mary was not saved apart from Christ, she was saved more perfectly by Him.

God applied the grace of the Cross to her at the moment of her conception, preserving her from sin before it touched her — just as a doctor can prevent an illness instead of curing it later.

5. The Early Church recognized Mary’s extraordinary holiness

From the first centuries, Christians called Mary:

– “All-holy”

– “Most pure”

– “New Eve” (Eve was created without sin; Mary undoes Eve’s “no” with her perfect “yes”)

By the time the dogma was defined in 1854, the Church simply confirmed what had always been believed:

Mary was made a fitting, sinless dwelling for God Himself.

Mary’s Immaculate Conception isn’t a stretch —

it’s the logical, biblical, and historical conclusion of who Jesus is… and who His Mother must be.

So she was and is "perfectly and enduringly graced" by God.

Luke 1:28 (DRA) - And the angel being come in, said unto her: HAIL, FULL of GRACE, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

Note:

* In the original Greek New Testament, at the Annunciation, the Angel Gabriel said to the Virgin Mary, “Chaire, Kecharitomene, ho Kyrios Meta sou” (Lk 1:28).

* The Angel Gabriel did not even mention the name of Mary when he greeted her. Gabriel greeted her directly as "kecharitomene".

===

QUOTE:

The angel did not say, “Hail Mary, you are kecharitomene” but rather, “Hail kecharitomene.” Therefore the word is not simply an action but an identity.

God said, “You shall make the Ark of acacia wood” (Exodus 25:10). Why acacia? Because it never decays.

“Full of grace,” the angel called her (Luke 1:28), because from the very beginning, she was filled, not merely visited, by divine life. The wood that could not rot became the woman that could not sin.

The wood was overlaid with pure gold inside and outside (Exodus 25:11). This golden layer mirrors Mary’s perpetual virginity, purity within, purity without.

Her womb was the temple gate through which only the King could enter (Ezekiel 44:2).

Above the Ark rested the Shekinah glory, the cloud that signified God’s presence (Exodus 40:34–35).

“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you” (Luke 1:35).

The same cloud that descended upon the Ark in the desert now covered a humble girl in Nazareth.

One of the Promises of Our Lady to those who pray the Seven Sorrows Rosary to Saint Bridget of Sweden (1303-1373)

”They will be enlightened about the divine Mysteries."

The Holy Angels heard a Voice from the Throne speaking in the person of the Father: “Our Chosen One Shall Be Called MARY, and this name is to be powerful and magnificent. Those that shall invoke it with devout affection shall receive most abundant graces; those that shall honor it and pronounce it with reverence shall be consoled and vivified, and will find in it the remedy of their evils, the treasures for their enrichment, the light which shall guide them to heaven. It shall be terrible against the power of hell, it shall crush the head of the serpent and it shall win glorious victories over the princes of hell.”

THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION AS DICTATED TO VENERABLE MARY AGREDA BY THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

.

TAKEN FROM THE MYSTICAL CITY OF GOD

.

In the tribunal of the divine will, as the inevitable source and universal cause of the whole creation, all things with their conditions and circumstances, are decreed and determined, so that nothing is forgotten and no created power can in the least impede the fulfillment of the decree. All the spheres and the inhabitants contained in them are dependent on this ineffable government that rules them and cooperates with the natural causes unfailingly and unerringly in all that must be done. God works in all and sustains all by his sole will; in Him lies the preservation of all things or their annihilation, for without Him they would return to the non–existence, from which they were drawn. But since He has created the universe for his glory and for the glory of the incarnate Word, therefore He has from the beginning opened the paths and prearranged the ways by which the same Word should lower Himself to assume human flesh and to live among men, and by which they might ascend toward God, know Him, fear Him, seek Him, serve Him, love Him, praise Him and enjoy Him eternally. As the opportune and preordained time had arrived, the three divine Persons conferred with each other saying: “Now is the time to begin the work of our pleasure and to call into existence that pure Creature and that soul, which is to find grace in our eyes above all the rest. Let Us furnish Her with richest gifts and let Us deposit in Her the great treasures of our grace. Since all others, whom We called into existence, have turned out ungrateful and rebellious to our wishes, frustrating our intention and impeding by their own fault our purpose, namely, that they conserve themselves in the happy state of their first parents, and since it is not proper, that our will should be entirely frustrated, let Us therefore create this being in entire sanctity and perfection, so that the disorder of the first sin shall have no part in Her. Let Us create a soul according to our pleasure, a fruit of our attributes, a marvel of our infinite power, without touch or blemish of the sin of Adam. Let Us perfect a work which is the object of our Omnipotence and a pattern of the perfection intended for our children, and the finishing crown of creation. All have sinned in the free will and resolve of the first man (Rom. 5, 12); let Her be the sole creature in whom We restore and execute that which they in their aberration have lost. Let Her be a most special image and likeness of our Divinity and let Her be in our presence for all eternity the culmination of our goodwill and pleasure. In Her We deposit all the prerogatives and graces which in our first and conditional resolve We had destined for the angels and men, if they had remained in their first estate. What they have lost We renew in that Creature and We will add to these gifts many others. Thus our first decree shall not be frustrated, but it shall be fulfilled in a higher manner through this our first and chosen One (Cant. 6, 8). And since We assigned and prepared the most perfect and estimable of our gifts for the creatures who have lost them, We will divert the stream of our bounty to our Well–beloved. We will set Her apart from the ordinary law, by which the rest of the mortals are brought into existence, for in Her the seed of the serpent shall have no part. I will descend from heaven into her womb and in it vest Myself from her substance with human nature.”

.

“It is befitting and due to the infinite goodness of our Divinity, that It be founded and enclosed in the most pure matter, untouched and unstained by fault. Nor is it proper that our equity and providence overlook what is most apt, perfect and holy, and choose that which is inferior, since nothing can resist our will (Esther 13, 9). The Word, which is to become man, being the Redeemer and Teacher of men, must lay the foundation of the most perfect law of grace, and must teach through it, that the father and mother are to be obeyed and honored as the secondary causes of the natural existence of man. The law is first to be fulfilled by the divine Word by honoring Her as his chosen Mother, by exalting Her with a powerful arm, and lavishing upon Her the most admirable, most holy and most excellent of all graces and gifts. Among these shall be that most singular honor and blessing of not subjecting Her to our enemy, nor to his malice; and therefore She shall be free from the death of sin.”

.

“On earth the Word shall have a Mother without a father, as in heaven He has a Father without a mother. And in order that there may be the proper correspondence, proportion and consonance in calling God his Father and this Woman his Mother, We desire that the highest correspondence and approach possible between a creature and its God be established. Therefore at no time shall the dragon boast of being superior to the Woman, whom God will obey as his true Mother. This dignity of being free from sin is due and corresponds to that of being Mother of the Word, and it is in itself even more estimable and useful. It is a greater good to be holy than to be only mother; but all sanctity and perfection is nevertheless due to the motherhood of God. The human flesh, from which He is to assume form, must be free from sin. Since He is to redeem in it the sinners, He must not be under the necessity of redeeming his own flesh, like that of sinners. Being united to the Divinity his humanity is to be the price of Redemption, wherefore it before all be preserved from sin, and We have already foreseen and accepted the merits of the Word in this very flesh and human nature. We wish that for all eternities the Word should be glorified through this tabernacle and habitation of the human nature.”

.

“She is to be the daughter of the first man; but in the order of grace She is to be singularly free and exempt from fault; and in the order of nature She is to be most perfect, and to be formed according to a special providence. And since the incarnate Word is to be the Teacher of humility and holiness and for this end is to endure labors, confounding the vanity and deceitful fallacies of mortals by choosing for Himself sufferings as the treasure most estimable in our eyes. We wish that She, who is to be his Mother, experience the same labors and difficulties, that She be singularly distinguished in patience, admirable in sufferings, and that She, in union with the Onlybegotten, offer the acceptable sacrifices of sorrow to Us for her greater glory.”

“Now the time has arrived,” added his Majesty, “which was resolved upon by our Providence for bringing to light the Creature most pleasing and acceptable to our eyes. That Creature, in whom the human nature is freed from its first sin, who is to crush the head of the dragon, who was typified by that singular sign, the Woman that appeared in the heavens in our presence, and who is to clothe the eternal Word with human flesh. The hour is at hand, so blessed for mortals, in which the treasures of our Divinity are to be opened and the gates of heaven to be unlocked. Let the rigor of our justice be softened by the chastisements, which we have until now executed upon the mortals; let the attribute of our mercy become manifest; let the creatures be enriched, and let the divine Word merit for them the treasures of grace and of eternal glory.”

“Now let the human race receive the Repairer, the Teacher, the Brother and Friend, to be life for mortals, a medicine for the sick, a consoler for the sorrowful, a balsam for the wounded, a guide and companion for those in difficulties. Let now the prophecies of our servants and the promises made to them that We would send a Savior to redeem them, be fulfilled. And in order that all may be executed according to our good pleasure, and that We may give a beginning to the mystery hidden since the constitution of the world, We select for the formation of our beloved Mary the womb of our servant Anne; in her be She conceived and in her let that most blessed Soul be created. Although her generation and formation shall proceed according to the usual order of natural propagation, it shall be different in the order of grace, according to the ordainment of our Almighty power.”

“You do already know how the ancient serpent, since he saw the sign of this marvelous Woman, attempts to circumvent all women, and how, from the first one created, he persecutes all those, whom he sees excelling in the perfection of their works and life, expecting to find among them the One, who is to crush his head (Gen. 3, 15). When he shall encounter this most pure and spotless Creature, he shall find Her so holy that he will exert all his powers to persecute Her in pursuance of the concept which he forms of Her. But the arrogance of this dragon shall be greater than his powers (Is. 12, 7); and it is our will that you have particular charge of this our holy City and tabernacle of the incarnate Word, protecting, guarding, assisting and defending Her against our enemies, and that you enlighten, strengthen and console Her with all due solicitude and reverence as long as She shall be a wayfarer among the mortals.”

At this proposal of the Most High all the holy angels, prostrate before the royal throne of the most holy Trinity, avowed their promptitude and eagerness to obey the divine mandate. Each one desired in holy emulation to be appointed, and offered himself for such a happy service; all of them gave to the Almighty praise and thanksgiving in new songs, because the hour had arrived for the fulfillment of that for which they had, with the most ardent desires, prayed through many ages. I perceived on this occasion that from the time of that great battle of saint Michael with the dragon and his allies, in which they were hurled into everlasting darkness while the hosts of Michael remained victorious and confirmed in grace and glory, these holy spirits commenced immediately to pray for the fulfillment of the mysteries of the Incarnation of the Word, of which they became cognizant at that time. And they persevered in these oft repeated prayers up to the hour in which God manifested to them the fulfillment of their desires and petitions.

On this account the celestial spirits at this new revelation conceived an additional joy and obtained new accidental glory, and they spoke to the Lord: “Most High and incomprehensible God and Lord, Thou art worthy of all reverence, praise and eternal glory; and we are thy creatures and made according to thy divine will. Send us, most powerful Lord, to execute thy most wonderful works and mysteries, in order that in all things thy most just pleasure may be fulfilled.” In such terms of affection the heavenly princes acknowledged themselves as subjects; and if it had been possible, they desired to increase in purity and perfection in order to be more worthy guardians and servants of Mary.

Then the Most High chose and appointed those who were to be occupied in this exalted service (the guardianship of Mary) from each of the nine choirs of angels. He selected one hundred, being nine hundred in all. Moreover he assigned twelve others who should in a special manner assist Mary in corporeal and visible forms; and they were to bear the emblems or escutcheons of the Redemption. These are the twelve which are mentioned in the twenty–first chapter of the Apocalypse as guarding the portals of the city; of them I will speak in the explanation of that chapter later on. Besides these the Lord assigned eighteen other angels, selected from the highest ranks, who were to ascend and descend by that mystical stairs of Jacob with the message of the Queen to his Majesty and those of the Lord to Her.

In addition to all these holy angels the Almighty assigned and appointed seventy seraphim, choosing them from the highest ranks and from those nearest to the Divinity, in order that they might communicate and converse with this Princess of heaven in the same way as they themselves interact with each other, and as the higher communicate with the lower ones.

In order that this invincible warrior–troop might be well appointed, saint Michael, the prince of the heavenly militia was placed at their head, and although not always in the company of the Queen, he was nevertheless often near Her and often showed himself to Her. The Almighty destined him as a special ambassador of Christ our Lord and to act in some of the mysteries as the defender of his most holy Mother. In a like manner the holy prince Gabriel was appointed to act as legate and minister of the eternal Father in the affairs of the Princess of heaven. Thus did the most holy Trinity provide for the custody and the defense of the Mother of God.

The divine wisdom had now prepared all things for drawing forth the spotless image of the Mother of grace from the corruption of nature. The number and congregation of ancient Patriarchs and Prophets had been completed and gathered, and the mountains had been raised, on which this mystical City of God was to be built (Ps. 86, 2). By the power of his right hand He had already selected incomparable treasures of the Divinity to enrich and endow Her. A thousand angels were equipped for her guard and custody, that they might serve as most faithful vassals of their Queen and Lady. He had provided a noble and kingly ancestry from whom She should descend and had selected for Her most holy and perfect parents, than whom none holier or more perfect could be found in the world. For there is no doubt that if better and more apt parents existed, the Almighty would have selected them for Her, who was to be chosen by God as his Mother.

In the formation of the body of the most holy Mary the wisdom and power of the Almighty proceeded so cautiously that the quantities of the four natural elements of the human body, the sanguine, melancholic, phlegmatic and choleric, were compounded in exact proportion and measure; in order that by this most perfect proportion in its mixture and composition it might assist the operations of that holy Soul with which it was to be endowed and animated. This wonderfully composed temperament was afterwards the source and the cause, which in its own way made possible the serenity and peace that reigned in the powers and faculties of the Queen of heaven during all her life. Never did any of these elements oppose or contradict nor seek to predominate over the others, but each one of them supplemented and served the others, continuing in this well ordered fabric without corruption or decay. Never did the body of the most Holy Mary suffer from the taint of corruption, nor was there anything wanting or anything excessive found in it; but all the conditions and proportions of the different elements were continuously adjusted, without any want or excess in what was necessary for her perfect existence and without excess or default in dryness or moisture. Neither was there more warmth than was necessary for maintenance of life or digestion; nor more cold than was necessary for the right temperature and for the maintenance of the bodily humors.

On the Saturday next following, the Almighty created the soul of his Mother and infused it into the body; and thus entered into the world that pure Creature, more holy, perfect and agreeable to His eyes than all those He had created, or will create to the end of the world, or through the eternities. God maintained a mysterious correspondence in the execution of this work with that of creating all the rest of the world in seven days, as is related in the book of Genesis. Then no doubt He rested in truth, according to the figurative language of Scripture, since He has now created the most perfect Creature of all, giving through it a beginning to the work of the divine Word and to the Redemption of the human race. Thus was this day a paschal feast for God and also for all creatures.

By the force of this divine pronouncement and through the love with which it issued from the mouth of the Almighty, was created and infused into the body of most holy Mary her most blessed Soul. At the same time She was filled with grace and gifts above those of the highest seraphim of heaven, and there was not a single instant in which She was found wanting or deprived of the light, the friendship and love of the Creator, or in which She was touched by the stain or darkness of original sin. On the contrary She was possessed of the most perfect justice, superior to that of Adam and Eve in their first formation. To Her was also concealed the most perfect use of the light of reason, corresponding to the gifts of grace, which She had received. Not for one instant was She to remain idle, but to engage in works most admirable and pleasing to her Maker.

Although She was adorned as the Bride, descending from heaven, endowed with all perfections and with the whole range of infused virtues, it was not necessary that She should exercise all of them at once, it being sufficient that She exercise those, which were befitting her state in the womb of her mother. Among the first thus exercised were the three theological virtues, faith, hope and charity, which relate immediately to God. These she at once practiced in the most exalted manner recognizing by a most sublime faith the Divinity with all its perfections and its infinite attributes, and the Trinity with its distinction of Persons. This knowledge by faith was not impeded by the higher knowledge which God gave her, as I will soon demonstrate. She exercised also the virtue of hope, seeing in God the object of her happiness and her ultimate end. Toward this her sanctified Soul at once hastened and aspired with the most intense desires of uniting Herself with God and without having for one moment turned to any other object or tarried one moment in her upward flight. At the same instant also She put into action the virtue of charity, seeing in God the infinite and highest Good, and conceiving such an intense appreciation of the Divinity, that not all the seraphim could ever reach such an eminent degree of fervor and virtue.

The other virtues which adorn and perfect the rational part of the creature, She possessed in a proportion corresponding to the theological virtues. The moral and natural virtues were hers in a miraculous and supernatural measure, and in a still more exalted manner was She possessed of the gifts and fruits of the Holy Ghost in the order of grace. She had an infused knowledge and habit of all these virtues and of all the natural arts, so that She knew and was conversant with the whole natural and supernatural order of things, in accordance with the grandeur of God. Hence from her first instant in the womb of her mother, She was wiser, more prudent, more enlightened, and more capable of comprehending God and all his works, than all the creatures have been or ever will be in eternity, excepting of course her most holy Son.

In correspondence with this wonderful knowledge of her most holy soul at the instant of its union with the body, Mary exerted Herself by eliciting heroic acts of virtue, of incomparable admiration, praise, glorification, adoration, humility, love of God and sorrow for the sins committed against Him whom She recognized as the Author and end of these admirable works. She hastened to offer Herself as an acceptable sacrifice to the Most High, beginning from that instant with fervent desire to bless Him, love Him and honor Him, because She perceived that the bad angels and men failed to know and love Him. She requested the holy angels whose Queen She already was, to help Her to glorify the Creator and Lord of all, and to pray also for Her.

The Lord in this instant showed Her also her guardian angels, whom she recognized and accepted with joyful submission, inviting them to sing canticles of praise to the Most High alternatively with Her. She announced to them beforehand that this was to be the service which they were to render Her during the whole time of Her mortal life, in which they were to act as her assistants and guards. She was informed moreover of her whole genealogy of all the rest of the holy people chosen by God, the Patriarchs and Prophets, and how admirable his Majesty was in the gifts, graces and favors wrought in them. It is worthy of admiration, that, although the exterior faculties of her body at the creation of her most holy Soul were hardly large enough to be distinguished, nevertheless, in order that none of the miraculous excellence with which God could endow his Mother might be wanting, He ordained by the power of right hand, that in perceiving the fall of man She shed tears of sorrow in the womb of her mother at the gravity of the offense against the highest Good.

In this wonderful sorrow at the instant of her coming into existence, She began to seek a remedy for mankind and commenced the work of mediation, intercession and reparation. She offered to God the clamors of her ancestors and of the just of the earth, that his mercy might not delay the salvation of mortals, whom she even looked upon as her brethren. Before She ever conversed with them with the most ardent charity and with the very beginning of her existence She assumed the office of Benefactress of men and exercised the divine and fraternal love enkindled in her heart. These petitions the Most High accepted with greater pleasure than the prayers of all the saints and angels and this pleasure of God was also made known to Her, who was created to be the Mother of God. She perceived the love of God and his desire to descend from heaven in order to redeem men, though She knew not how it should be consummated. It was befitting that God should feel Himself impelled to hasten his coming on account of the prayers and petitions of this Creature; since it was principally for the love of Her that He came, and since in Her body He was to assume human flesh, accomplish the most admirable of all his works, and fulfill the end of all other creatures.

.

In writing of these sacraments of the King, howsoever honorable it is to reveal his works, I confess my inaptitude and incapacity, being only a woman, and I am afflicted, because I am speaking in such common and vague terms, which fall entirely short of that, which I perceive in the light given to my soul for the understanding of these mysteries. In order to do justice to such sublimity, there were need of other words, more particular and especially adapted terms and expressions, which are beyond my ignorance. And even if they were at my service, they would be weighed down and made insipid by human weakness. Let therefore this human imbecility acknowledge itself unequal and incapable of fixing its eyes on this heavenly sun, with which the rays of the Divinity break upon the world, although yet beclouded in the maternal womb of holy Anne. If we seek permission to approach this wonderful sight, let us come near free and unshackled. Let us not allow ourselves to be detained, neither by our natural cowardice nor by a base fear and hesitation, even though it be under the cloak of humility. Let us all approach with the greatest devotion and piety, free from the spirit of contention (Rom. 13, 12); then we will be permitted to examine with our own eyes the fire of the Divinity burning in the bush without consuming it (Exodus 2, 2).

WORDS OF THE QUEEN

.

The Virgin Mary speaks to Sister Mary of Agreda, Spain

It is an act of justice due to the eternal God that the creature coming to the use of reason, direct its very first movement toward God. By knowing, it should begin to love Him, reverence Him and adore Him as its Creator and only true Lord. The parents are naturally bound to instruct their children from their infancy in this knowledge of God and to direct them with solicitous care, so that they may at once see their ultimate end and seek it in their first acts of the intellect and will. They should with great watchfulness withdraw them from the childishness and puerile trickishness to which depraved nature will incline them if left without direction. If the fathers and mothers would be solicitous to prevent these vanities and perverted habits of their children and would instruct them from their infancy in the knowledge of their God and Creator, then they would afterwards easily accustom them to know and adore Him. My holy mother, who knew not of my wisdom and real condition, was most solicitously beforehand in this matter, for when She bore me in her womb, she adored in my name the Creator and offered worship and thanks for his having created me, beseeching Him to defend me and bring me forth to the light of day from the condition in which I then was. So also parents should pray with fervor to God, that the souls of their children, through his Providence, may obtain Baptism and be freed from the servitude of original sin.

And if the rational creature has not known and adored the Creator from the first dawn of reason, it should do this as soon as it obtains knowledge of the essential God by the light of faith. From that very moment the soul must exert itself never to lose Him from her sight, always fearing Him, loving Him, and reverencing Him.

The Mystical City of God: Mary's Love and Devotion

The Mystical City of God, written by Venerable Marรญa de Jesรบs de รgreda (also known as Mother Mary of Agreda) in the 17th century, is a spiritual treatise that explores the mysteries of God's plan and Mary's role in it. In this book, Mother Mary of Agreda describes the boundless love and devotion that Mary has for humanity.

According to her writings, Mary's love for humanity is so great that she is constantly seeking ways to communicate with us and guide us towards salvation. She sees the world as a battlefield between good and evil, and she desires to assist us in our struggle against evil.

Here are some quotes from The Mystical City of God that highlight Mary's love and devotion:

1. "The heavenly Mother [Mary] has chosen this world as her own garden, where she tends with her maternal care all the flowers that bloom in her garden."

2. "She [Mary] is consumed by an infinite love for humanity, and her heart is filled with tender compassion for all who are suffering."

3. "The divine Mother [Mary] has consecrated herself to the service of humanity, and she has chosen this world as her own mansion, where she dwells in spirit."

In this book, Mother Mary of Agreda describes how Mary's love for humanity is reflected in her role as Queen of Heaven and Earth. She writes that Mary's love is so great that she:

* Intercedes on our behalf before God
* Assists us in our spiritual struggles
* Provides guidance and direction in times of uncertainty
* Offers us solace and comfort in times of sorrow

In summary, both Padre Pio and Mother Mary of Agreda emphasize the importance of the Rosary as a powerful tool for spiritual growth, conversion, and salvation. They also highlight Mary's boundless love and devotion for humanity, which is reflected in her role as Queen of Heaven and Earth.

According to St. Faustina's diary, the demonic spirits that she encountered during her spiritual struggles and prayer revealed their fear and dread of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Here are some quotes from the demons that St. Faustina recorded in her diary:

1. "The devils tremble with fear when they hear the name of Mary." (Diary, 340)

2. "The devil said to me, 'Do you not know that you are not worthy to say one word to Mary? You are not worthy to look at her, because she is the Queen of Heaven and Earth.'" (Diary, 344)

3. "I asked a demon what he was afraid of, and he replied, 'I am afraid of Mary, because she is the one who can take away all our power and destroy our kingdom.'" (Diary, 347)

4. "The devil said to me, 'Mary is the one who has been chosen by God as the Mother of His only-begotten Son, and she is more powerful than any other creature.'" (Diary, 350)

5. "When I mentioned the name of Mary, the demon trembled with fear and said, 'Do you know what you are saying? You are speaking of the one who has been given power over all the demons and can destroy our kingdom.'" (Diary, 353)

These quotes reveal the deep fear and respect that the demonic spirits have for the Blessed Virgin Mary. They see her as a powerful and holy figure who has been chosen by God as the Mother of His only-begotten Son, and they recognize that she has the power to take away their influence and destroy their kingdom.

It's worth noting that these quotes are not direct quotes from the demons, but rather St. Faustina's recording of their conversations and revelations. However, they do provide insight into the demonic perspective on the Blessed Virgin Mary and demonstrate the power and reverence that she inspires in those who know her.

Do you know that we can only really obtain our intentions in praying the rosary by praying it 4 times a day or above? Thats because this number is the standard number and right way of praying it. When your just new to it you can atleast pray it 2 x a day, you can do it by praying 1 the morning and 1 in the evening.
The intended result will be dimished but youll still notice not only minor changes but major changes on your life.

Thats what the greatest sainds had said. Its what st Louis Maria De Monfort said and what the blessed Virgin Mary wants. When Mama Mary appeared in Fatima, what is she talking about the praying of rosary everyday is really prayying the rosary four times a day. From the very beggining, the saints know, the church knows and St. Dominic knows that the right way of praying the rosary and standard praying of it is praying all its mysteries. Yes the four mysteries, Joyful, Luminous, Glorious Sorrowful.

"The Most Holy Virgin in these last times in which we live has given new efficacy in the recitation of the Holy Rosary. She has given this efficacy to such an extent that there is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, whether temporal or above all spiritual, in the personal life of each one of us, of our families … that cannot be solved by the Rosary. There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary."

--- Sis. LUCIA one of the seers of Mama Mary's apparition at Fatima Portugal. ----

Pray the Rosary my Folks. And be assurred that she will take care of all what you need and will be your mother.

"Am I not here who is your mother."

Mother of Salvation: Pray for the protection of my Son’s Church on Earth

Mother of Salvation: Pray for the protection of my Son’s Church on Earth

February 10, 2015 fatherofloveandmercy

My dear children, it is important that all of you recite the Crusade Prayers and my Most Holy Rosary as part of your daily prayers. You may choose whichever prayers that you select, not necessarily every Prayer, but those which are according to your desire. My Most Holy Rosary must be recited daily against the influence of the evil one.

Prayer brings you closer to God and protects the souls of all those who request the help of my Son against the power of the deceiver. Prayer is the greatest weapon against evil and you must never underestimate the power that it yields.

Pray for the protection of my Son’s Church on earth and ask my Son to grant Mercy to everyone who tries to crucify it. This Church – the Body and the Temple of my Son – is the path through which all glory will be given to God. The Teachings, the Word and the Holy Eucharist, that is the Body and the Blood of my Son, Jesus Christ, were Gifts given to humanity for the salvation of souls. You must uphold the Truth and prepare to accept my Son’s Mercy.

I urge that you pray for souls who refute the Truth and beg my Son to pour His Mercy over their souls. My Son is Life. All Life comes from Him. Reject my Son and you will not sustain life in His Kingdom to come.

My Son has asked me to plead for your prayers for the souls of those who will reject Him. He will hear the prayers you offer up for all of your loved ones and for those who will be unable to accept the Light when it shines like a beacon and covers humanity.

The souls who are alight with the love and humility necessary to receive my Son will rejoice. Those with darkness in their souls will shun the Light, as they will find it painful to see the Truth. Pray with all your hearts for the souls who are in most need of my Son’s Mercy now and every day from now on.

Without your prayers many will be lost and they will pine for eternity, for the company of my Son, but He will be nowhere for them to find.

I leave you with my love, my protection and my peace. Please respond to my call for the salvation of souls.

Your beloved Mother

Mother of Salvation: My Son, Jesus Christ, will be betrayed by another Judas and one with great authority

April 9, 2014 fatherofloveandmercy

My dear child, when Judas Iscariot betrayed my Son, Jesus Christ, it had far-reaching consequences. Because he was one of my Son’s closest allies, and as a member of His precious apostles, his betrayal was very painful for my Son. Because he, a traitor, came from within my Son’s Domain, this meant that doubts crept in amongst those who were unsure as to whether or not my Son was, indeed, the True Messiah. The doubts spread and many of His apostles and followers felt confused, lost and afraid. They knew that once He was seized by His enemies, the Truth would be questioned and then denied. They also knew that, were they to defend my Son publicly, they would also suffer and could have ended up having to endure the same punishment meted out to Him. They knew also that they would not have had the courage to stand defiantly against His enemies, for fear of ridicule.

So, will the betrayal of my Son, from within His Church on Earth be the same. My Son will be betrayed by another Judas and one with great authority, from within His Church on Earth. When this, the second greatest betrayal, since Judas Iscariot sold my Son for thirty pieces of silver, takes place, it will make people of every race, nation and Christian faith, question the Truth. This betrayal will also have far-reaching consequences, because it will bring into question every single aspect of my Son’s Divinity. When this happens, the Truth will collapse. In its place, a corpse will be raised up, rotten to the core, without any sign of life. A dead doctrine will be raised and dressed up with all the false attributes associated with my Son, but it will bear no fruit. Yet, it will seem like a new conversion.

True conversion comes from people’s love for God, powered by the Gift of the Holy Spirit and by their own free will. This new doctrine will be foisted upon the world, without your free will. Reject it and you will be punished by my Son’s enemies.

Those who betray my Son in the final days will have no life. Those who don’t betray Him will live forever in the Glory of God.

Mother of Salvation: To serve my Son truly, you must love Him first. To love my Son you must know Him first

June 21, 2014 fatherofloveandmercy

My dear child, my own life on Earth was lived through my Son, Jesus Christ. My soul was created in Heaven by my Father, God the Most High, and my birth was an extraordinary Gift to humanity. I was sent by God with the sole purpose of delivering into the world the much-anticipated Messiah. My Son’s birth was Miraculous and from the moment He drew His first Breath my only desire was to serve His every need.

I adored my Son and acknowledged Him with great reverence. His beautiful Godly demeanor was quickly evident within three months of His birth. His smile was radiant and even as young as He was; His piercing blue Eyes had an extraordinary depth and maturity. I knew I was there to serve Him in every way, but He showed me great Love at a very early age. This Love was not just the love that a child would have for his mother – it was much greater than that. He soothed me; caressed my face whenever I became worried about the dangers, which we, and my spouse, Saint Joseph, would have to face.

After the exodus to Egypt, I found it difficult to relax and I remained alert to every potential threat or danger, which meant that I slept few hours at night. Even before my Son made Himself known, it was very clear to me the dangers He would have to face in the future. His Hands, always reaching out to people in love and friendship. As a boy, He drew many, although they had no idea Who He was. He also drew unwarranted criticism from friends and people He knew. He was bullied and laughed at and I was also snubbed by many. The Presence of God drew the good as well as those with dark souls to our small family from the day my Son was born. My love for Him was very powerful. I loved Him for Who He was, but I also loved Him as a Mother and that love continues to this day.

I was somewhat overprotective of my Son and when I lost Him on the journey back from Jerusalem I was terrified. My sense of loss was felt in every part of me and I could not rest until I found Him. On that day, when I found Him speaking and preaching to the elders in the Temple, I realized from that moment on that I had only to serve Him and to be obedient to His every Desire.

To serve my Son truly, you must love Him first. To love my Son, you must know Him first. To know my Son means to study His Word and to understand what He told His disciples during His Time on Earth. It is only through His Word that you can get to know Jesus Christ. If you accept His Holy Word, then you can serve Him. You cannot serve Him if you do not honour His Word or do all that He taught you. Obedience to the Word of God is essential if you wish to live like true Christians. If you preach His Word then you must practice what my Son preached – to love one another; to do onto others what you would expect to be done onto you; to honour God, through the Holy Sacraments, as He taught you.

You must never dictate to God your desire to change His Word, because you do not have this right. Subservience to my Son can only be achieved if you remain obedient to His Teachings. Go in peace to love and serve the Lord.

Mother of Salvation: My Son is planning a great renewal on Earth, at this time, and it will cause much pain

October 23, 2013 fatherofloveandmercy

My child, I cover all of my children, at this time, with my protection, so that they will remain calm, at peace and strong at these times of great trials. You must, dear children, accept the fact that you will always feel pain, caused by the isolation, rejection and dismissal by those who scorn the Word of God. Light attracts those who are in the dark and they will always attack and lash out against you, when you are in full union with my Son, Jesus Christ.

My Son is planning a great renewal on Earth, at this time, and it will cause much pain, because it takes the form of a purification. This means that many will suffer for their sins now and that the Earth is being prepared for Jesus Christ, so that when the purification is complete, the announcement will be made. The enemies of God will, meanwhile, spread lies and heresies to win over sinners and all those who love my Son, in order to control them.

All these sad events must take place before the Second Coming of my Son, Jesus Christ.

I ask you, dear children, to be patient and to endure these difficulties, for the sake of my Son, Who loves you dearly. Never feel anxious, because you will soon witness His New Paradise where no sadness, pain or evil will exist. It is such a little thing when you suffer for my Son and it is insignificant when compared to what He endured for each and every one of you when He died on the Cross to save you.

So please place all your trust in my Son and be thankful that you are being sent guidance from Heaven. Rejoice because you have been given the correct amount of time to prepare properly for the Great Day of the Lord.

Be at peace.

Mother of Salvation: Courage, my dear children, all is in the Hands of my Son

February 17, 2015 fatherofloveandmercy

My dear children you have been given the Prayers, the Gifts and the armour to forge ahead in preparation for the Second Coming of my precious Son, Jesus Christ.

His Remnant has been formed and it will continue to grow throughout the world so that souls can be saved. It will be during the times, which lie ahead that God’s Remnant in every corner of the world will retain the Truth of His Holy Word. Blessed with the favour of the Holy Spirit the Remnant will, through their prayer and sacrifice, appease the anger of God when the Great Day of the Lord descends upon the world.

You must never forget that God loves everyone and because of the opposition, which will be shown to God’s children, you will not find it easy to remain faithful to the Word.

God’s Remnant, irrespective of creed or nation, will unite in the days ahead when all mention of the Holy Word will be suppressed. God will communicate to you through this Mission when you need comfort so that He can pour over you the Graces required to sustain your faith.

Courage, my dear children, all is in the Hands of my Son, Who will seek out every soul, including the most hardened amongst you. My love for you all is everlasting and I desire that you use every Gift, given to you through the Holy Gospels and through these Messages, for the salvation of souls.

God will never desert His Remnant and it will be through your prayer groups and all other prayers groups, which are derived from my communications to the world, through other missions, that souls can and will be saved.

Comfort one another in times of spiritual trials and God will guide you every step of the way. I, the Mother of Salvation, will remain your protector and I will answer every request that you make of me.

I will remain by your side right up to the Day my Son returns to reclaim His Kingdom on earth.

Thank you for responding with faith, hope and trust, to my call and that of my Son.

The complete visions of Anne Catherine Emmerich

The complete visions of Anne Catherine Emmerich

As recorded in the journals of Clemens Brentano and William Wesener

Volume 1 - The Old Testament Part 1

The Old Testament – Part 1

THE CREATION

Introductory Remarks

Of the visions of her childhood Sister Emmerich tells us: “When in my sixth year I reflected on the first article of the Apostles’ Creed, “I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth,” there passed before my soul innumerable pictures of the creation of Heaven and earth. I saw the Fall of the angels, the creation of the earth and Paradise, that of Adam and Eve, and the Fall of man. I thought everyone saw this as we do other things around us, and I spoke of it freely to my parents, brothers, sisters, and playmates. But they laughed at me. They asked me whether I had a book containing all these things, and so I began to keep silence concerning them. I thought, though without much reflection, that perhaps it was not proper to speak on such subjects.

I had these visions by night and by day, in the fields, in the house, sitting or walking, and when engaged in all kinds of employments. One day at school, I happened to speak of the Resurrection, describing it differently from what we had been taught. I felt certain that everyone knew it just as I did. I did not dream that there was anything peculiar in my account of it. But the children gazed at me in wonder and laughed, while the master reproved me gravely, and warned me not to indulge such imaginations. My visions continued, but I kept them to myself. I was like a child looking at a picture book, explaining the pictures in its own way, but not thinking much about their meaning. They represented the saints or scenes from Sacred History, sometimes in one way, sometimes in another.

They produced no change in my faith, they were merely my picture book. I gazed upon them quietly and always with the good thought: All to the greater glory of God! In spiritual things, I have never put faith in anything but what God the Lord has revealed to the Catholic Church for our belief, whether it be written or not. I have never believed so firmly what I have seen in vision. I looked upon the latter as I devoutly regard, here and there, the various Cribs at Christmas. I feel no annoyance at their difference in style, for in each I adore the same dear little Infant Jesus. And so it is with those pictures of the creation of Heaven, earth, and man. In them I adore God the Lord, the Almighty Creator of Heaven and earth.”

Fall of the Angels

I saw spreading out before me a boundless, resplendent space, above which floated a globe of light shining like a sun. I felt that It was the Unity of the Trinity. In my own mind, I named It the ONE VOICE, and I watched It producing Its effects. Below the globe of light arose concentric circles of radiant choirs of spirits, wondrously bright and strong and beautiful. This second world of light floated like a sun under that higher Sun.

These choirs came forth from the higher Sun, as if born of love. Suddenly I saw some of them pause, rapt in the contemplation of their own beauty. They took complacency in self, they sought the highest beauty in self, they thought but of self, they existed but in self.

At first all were lost in contemplation out of self, but soon some of them rested in self. At that instant, I saw this part of the glittering choirs hurled down, their beauty sunk in darkness, while the others, thronging quickly together, filled up their vacant places. And now the good angels occupied a smaller space. I did not see them leaving their places to pursue and combat the fallen choirs. The bad angels rested in self and fell away, while those that did not follow their example thronged into their vacant places. All this was instantaneous.

Then rising from below, I saw a dark disc, the future abode of the fallen spirits. I saw that they took possession of it against their will. It was much smaller than the sphere from which they had fallen, and they appeared to me to be closely crowded together.

I saw the Fall of the angels in my childhood and ever after, day and night, I dreaded their influence. I thought they must do great harm to the earth, for they are always around it. It is well they have no bodies, else they would obscure the light of the sun. We should see them floating around us like shadows.

Immediately after the Fall, I saw the spirits in the shining circles humbling themselves before God. They did homage to Him and implored pardon for the fallen angels.

At that moment I saw a movement in the luminous sphere in which God dwelt. Until then it had been motionless and, as I felt, awaiting that prayer.

After that action on the part of the angelic choirs, I felt assured that they would remain steadfast, that they would never fall away. It was made known to me that God in His judgment, in His eternal sentence against the rebel angels, decreed the reign of strife until their vacant thrones are filled. But to fill those thrones seemed to me almost impossible, for it would take so long. The strife will, however, be upon the earth. There will be no strife above, for God has so ordained.

After I had received this assurance, I could no longer sympathize with Lucifer, for I saw that he had cast himself down by his own free, wicked will. Neither could I feel such anger against Adam. On the contrary, I felt great sympathy for him because I thought: It has been thus ordained.

Creation of the Earth

Immediately after the prayer of the faithful choirs and that movement in the Godhead, I saw below me, not far from and to the right of the world of shadows, another dark globe arise.

I fixed my eyes steadily upon it. I beheld it as if in movement, growing larger and larger, as it were, bright spots breaking out upon it and encircling it like luminous bands. Here and there, they stretched out into brighter, broader plains, and at that moment I saw the form of the land setting boundaries to the water. In the bright places I saw a movement as of life, and on the land I beheld vegetation springing forth and myriads of living things arising. Child that I was, I fancied the plants were moving about.

Up to this moment, there was only a gray light like the sunrise, like early morn breaking over the earth, like nature awakening from sleep.

And now all other parts of the picture faded. The sky became blue, the sun burst forth, but I saw only one part of the earth lighted up and shining. That spot was charming, glorious, and I thought: There’s Paradise!

While these changes were going on upon the dark globe, I saw, as it were, a streaming forth of light out of that highest of all the spheres, the God-sphere, that sphere in which God dwelt.

It was as if the sun rose higher in the heavens, as if bright morning were awakening. It was the first morning. No created being had any knowledge of it, and it seemed as if all those created things had been there forever in their unsullied innocence. As the sun rose higher, I saw the plants and trees growing larger and larger. The waters became clearer and holier, colors grew purer and brighter—all was unspeakably charming. Creation was not then as it is now. Plants and flowers and trees had other forms. They are wild and misshapen now compared with what they were, for all things are now thoroughly degenerate.

When looking at the plants and fruits of our gardens, apricots, for instance, which in southern climes are, as I have seen, so different from ours, so large, magnificent, and delicious, I often think: As miserable as are our fruits compared with those of the South, are the latter when compared with the fruits of Paradise. I saw there roses, white and red, and I thought them symbols of Christ’s Passion and our Redemption. I saw also palm trees and others, high and spreading which cast their branches afar, as if forming roofs.

Before the sun appeared, earthly things were puny; but in his beams they gradually increased in size, until they attained full growth.

The trees did not stand close together. Of all plants, at least of the largest, I saw only one of each kind, and they stood apart like seedlings set out in a garden bed. Vegetation was luxuriant, perfectly green, of a species pure, sound, and exempt from decay. Nothing appeared to receive or to need the attention of an earthly gardener. I thought: How is it that all is so beautiful, since as yet there are no human beings! Ah! Sin has not yet entered. There has been no destruction, no rending asunder. All is sound, all is holy. As yet there has been no healing, no repairing. All is pure, nothing has needed purification.

The plain that I beheld was gently undulating and covered with vegetation. In its center rose a fountain, from all sides of which flowed streams, crossing one another and mingling their waters. I saw in them first a slight movement as of life, and then I saw living things. After that I saw, here and there among the shrubs and bushes, animals peeping forth, as if just roused from sleep. They were very different from those of a later day, not at all timorous. Compared with those of our own time, they were almost as far their superior as men are superior to beasts. They were pure and noble, nimble, and joyous. Words cannot describe them. I was not familiar with many of them, for I saw very few like those we have now. I saw the elephant, the stag, the camel, and even the unicorn. This last I saw also in the ark. It is remarkably gentle and affectionate, not so tall as a horse, its head more rounded in shape. I saw no asses, no insects, no wretched, loathsome crea-tures.

These last I have always looked upon as a punishment of sin. But I saw myriads of birds and heard the sweetest notes as in the early morning. There were no birds of prey that I could see, nor did I hear any animals bellowing.

Paradise is still in existence, but it is utterly impossible for man to reach it. I have seen that it still exists in all its splendor. It is high above the earth and in an oblique direction from it, like the dark globe of the angels fallen from Heaven.

Adam and Eve

I saw Adam created, not in Paradise, but in the region in which Jerusalem was subsequently situ-ated. I saw him come forth glittering and white from a mound of yellow earth, as if out of a mold. The sun was shining and I thought (I was only a child when I saw it) that the sunbeams drew Adam out of the hillock. He was, as it were, born of the virgin earth. God blessed the earth, and it became his mother. He did not instantly step forth from the earth. Some time elapsed before his appearance. He lay in the hillock on his left side, his arm thrown over his head, a light vapor covering him as with a veil. I saw a figure in his right side, and I became conscious that it was Eve, and that she would be drawn from him in Paradise by God. God called him. The hillock opened, and Adam stepped gently forth. There were no trees around, only little flowers. I had seen the animals also, coming forth from the earth in pure singleness, the females separate from the males.

And now I saw Adam borne up on high to a garden, to Paradise.

God led all the animals before him in Paradise, and he named them. They followed him and gam-boled around him, for all things served him before he sinned. All that he named, afterward followed him to earth. Eve had not yet been formed from him.

I saw Adam in Paradise among the plants and flowers, and not far from the fountain that played in its center. He was awaking, as if from sleep. Although his person was more like to flesh than to spirit, yet he was dazzlingly white. He wondered at nothing, nor was he astonished at his own existence. He went around among the trees and the animals, as if he were used to them all, like a man inspecting his fields.

Near the tree by the water arose a hill. On it I saw Adam reclining on his left side, his left hand under his cheek. God sent a deep sleep on him and he was rapt in vision. Then from his right side, from the same place in which the side of Jesus was opened by the lance, God drew Eve. I saw her small and delicate. But she quickly increased in size until full grown. She was exquisitely beautiful. Were it not for the Fall, all would be born in the same way, in tranquil slumber.

The hill opened, and at Adam’s side arose a crystalline rock, formed apparently of precious stones. At Eve’s, lay a white valley covered with something like fine white pollen.

When Eve had been formed, I saw that God gave something, or allowed something to flow upon Adam. It was as if there streamed from the Godhead, apparently in human form, currents of light from forehead, mouth, breast, and hands. They united into a globe of light, which entered Adam’s right side whence Eve had been taken. Adam alone received it. It was the germ of God’s Blessing, which was threefold. The Blessing that Abraham received from the angel was one. It was of similar form, but not so luminous. Eve arose before Adam, and he gave her his hand.

They were like two unspeakably noble and beautiful children, perfectly luminous, and clothed with beams of light as with a veil. From Adam’s mouth I saw issuing a broad stream of glittering light, and upon his forehead was an expression of great majesty. Around his mouth played a sunbeam, but there was none around Eve’s. I saw Adam’s heart very much the same as in men of the present day, but his breast was surrounded by rays of light. In the middle of his heart, I saw a sparkling halo of glory. In it was a tiny figure as if holding something in its hand. I think it symbolized the Third Person of the Godhead. From the hands and feet of Adam and Eve, shot rays of light. Their hair fell in five glittering tresses, two from the temples, two behind the ears, and one from the back of the head.

I have always thought that by the Wounds of Jesus there were opened anew in the human body portals closed by Adam’s sin. I have been given to understand that Longinus opened in Jesus’ Side the gate of regeneration to eternal life, therefore no one entered Heaven while that gate was closed.

The glittering beams on Adam’s head denoted his abundant fruitfulness, his glory, his connection with other radiations. And all this shining beauty is restored to glorified souls and bodies. Our hair is the ruined, the extinct glory; and as is this hair of ours to rays of light, so is our present flesh to that of Adam before the Fall. The sunbeams around Adam’s mouth bore reference to a holy posterity from God, which, had it not been for the Fall, would have been effectuated by the spoken word.

Adam stretched forth his hand to Eve. They left the charming spot of Eve’s creation and went through Paradise, looking at everything, rejoicing in everything. That place was the highest in Paradise. All was more radiant, more resplendent there than elsewhere.

The Tree of Life and The Tree of Knowledge

In the center of the glittering garden, I saw a sheet of water in which lay an island connected with the opposite land by a pier. Both island and pier were covered with beautiful trees, but in the middle of the former stood one more magnificent than the others. It towered high over them as if guarding them. Its roots extended over the whole island as did also its branches, which were broad below and tapering to a point above. Its boughs were horizontal, and from them arose others like little trees. The leaves were fine, the fruit yellow and sessile in a leafy calyx like a budding rose. It was something like a cedar. I do not remember ever having seen Adam, Eve, or any animal near that tree on the island. But I saw beautiful noble-looking white birds and heard them singing in its branches.

That Tree was the Tree of Life.

Just before the pier that led to the island, stood the Tree of Knowledge. The trunk was scaly like that of the palm. The leaves, which spread out directly from the stem, were very large and broad, in shape like the sole of a shoe. Hidden in the forepart of the leaves, hung the fruit clustering in fives, one in front, and four around the stem. The yellow fruit had something of the shape of an apple, though more of the nature of a pear or fig. It had five ribs uniting in a little cavity. It was pulpy like a fig inside, of the color of brown sugar, and streaked with blood-red veins. The tree was broader above than below, and its branches struck deep roots into the ground. I see a species of this tree still in warm countries. Its branches throw down shoots to the earth where they root and rise as new trunks. These in turn send forth branches, and so one such tree often covers a large tract of country. Whole families dwell under the dense foliage.

At some distance to the right of the Tree of Knowledge, I saw a small, oval, gently sloping hill of glittering red grains and all kinds of precious stones. It was terraced with crystals. Around it were slender trees just high enough to intercept the view. Plants and herbs grew around it and they, like the trees, bore colored blossoms and nutritious fruits.

At some distance to the left of the Tree of Knowledge, I saw a slope, a little dale. It looked like soft clay, or like mist, and it was covered with tiny white flowers and pollen. Here too were various kinds of vegetation, but all colorless, more like pollen than fruit.

It seemed as if these two, the hill and the dale, bore some reference to each other, as if the hill had been taken out of the dale, or as if something from the former was to be transplanted into the latter. They were to each other what the seed is to the field. Both seemed to me holy, and I saw that both, but especially the hill, shone with light. Between them and the Tree of Knowledge arose different kinds of trees and bushes. They were all, like everything else in nature, transparent as if formed of light.

These two places were the abodes of our first parents. The Tree of Knowledge separated them. I think that God, after the creation of Eve, pointed out those places to them.

I saw that Adam and Eve were little together at first. I saw them perfectly free from passion, each in a separate abode. The animals were indescribably noble-looking and resplendent, and they served Adam and Eve. All had, according to their kind, certain retreats, abodes, and walks apart. The different spheres contained in themselves some great mystery of the Divine Law, and all were connected with one another.

Sin and Its Consequences

The Fall

I saw Adam and Eve walking through Paradise for the first time. The animals ran to meet and fol-low them, but they appeared to be more familiar with Eve than with Adam. Eve was in fact more taken up with the earth and created things. She glanced below and around more frequently than Adam. She appeared the more inquisitive of the two. Adam was more silent, more absorbed in God. Among the animals was one that followed Eve more closely than the others, It was a singularly gentle and winning, though artful creature. I know of none other to which I might compare it. It was slender and glossy, and it looked as if it had no bones. It walked upright on its short hind feet, its pointed tail trailing on the ground. Near the head, which was round with a face exceedingly shrewd, it had little short paws, and its wily tongue was ever in motion. The color of the neck, breast, and under part of the body was pale yellow, and down the back it was a mottled brown very much the same as an eel. It was about as tall as a child of ten years. It was constantly around Eve, and so coaxing and intelligent, so nimble and supple that she took great delight in it. But to me there was something horrible about it. I can see it distinctly even now. I never saw it touch either Adam or Eve. Before the Fall, the distance between man and the lower animals was great, and I never saw the first human beings touch any of them. They had, it is true, more confidence in man, but they kept at a certain distance from him.

When Adam and Eve returned to the region of shining light, a radiant Figure like a majestic man with glittering white hair stood before them.

He pointed around, and in few words appeared to be giving all things over to them and to be commanding them something. They did not look intimidated, but listened to him naturally. When he vanished, they appeared more satisfied, more happy. They appeared to understand things better, to find more order in things, for now they felt gratitude, but Adam more than Eve. She thought more of their actual bliss and of the things around them than of thanking for them. She did not rest in God so perfectly as did Adam, her soul was more taken up with created things. I think Adam and Eve went around Paradise three times.

Again I saw Adam on the shining hill upon which God had formed the woman from a rib of his side as he lay buried in sleep. He stood alone under the trees lost in gratitude and wonder. I saw Eve near the Tree of Knowledge, as if about to pass it, and with her that same animal more wily and sportive than ever. Eve was charmed with the serpent; she took great delight in it. It ran up the Tree of Knowledge until its head was on a line with hers. Then clinging to the trunk with its hind feet, it moved its head toward hers and told her that, if she would eat of the fruit of that tree, she would no longer be in servitude, she would become free, and understand how the multiplication of the human race was to be effected. Adam and Eve had already received the command to increase and multiply, but I understood that they did not know as yet how God willed it to be brought about. I saw, too, that had they known it and yet sinned after that knowledge, Redemption would not have been possible. Eve now became more thoughtful. She appeared to be moved by desire for what the serpent had promised. Something degrading took possession of her. It made me feel anxious. She glanced toward Adam, who was still quietly stand-ing under the trees. She called him, and he came.

Eve started to meet him, but turned back. There was a restlessness, a hesitancy about her movements. Again she started, as if intending to pass the tree, but once more hesitated, approached it from the left, and stood behind it, screened by its long, pendent leaves. The tree was broader above than below, and its wide, leafy branches drooped to the ground. Just within Eve’s reach hung a remarkably fine bunch of fruit. And now Adam approached. Eve caught him by the arm and pointed to the talking animal, and he listened to its words. When Eve laid her hand on Adam’s arm, she touched him for the first time. He did not touch her, but the splendor around them grew dim.

I saw the animal pointing to the fruit, but he did not venture to snap it off for Eve. But when the longing for it arose in her heart, he broke off and handed her the central and most beautiful piece of the clustering five.

And now I saw Eve draw near to Adam, and offer him the fruit. Had he refused it, sin would not have been committed. I saw the fruit break, as it were, in Adam’s hand. He saw pictures in it, and it was as if he and Eve were instructed upon what they should not have known. The interior of the fruit was blood-red and full of veins. I saw Adam and Eve losing their brilliancy and diminishing in stature. It was as if the sun went down. The animal glided down the tree, and I saw it running off on all fours.

I did not see the fruit taken into the mouth as we now take food in eating, but it disappeared between Adam and Eve.

I saw that while the serpent was still in the tree, Eve sinned, for her consent was with the tempta-tion. I learned also at that moment what I cannot clearly repeat; namely, that the serpent was, as it were, the embodiment of Adam and Eve’s will, a being by which they could do all things, could attain all things. Here it was that Satan entered.

Sin was not completed by eating the forbidden fruit. But that fruit from the tree which, rooting its branches in the earth thus sent out new shoots, and which continued to do the same after the Fall, conveyed the idea of a more absolute propagation, a sensual implanting in self at the cost of separation from God. So, along with disobedience, there sprang from their indulgence that severing of the creature from God, that planting in self and through self, and those selfish passions in human nature. He that uses the fruit solely for the enjoyment it affords, must accept as the consequence of his act the subversion, the debasement of nature as well as sin and death.

The blessing of a pure and holy multiplying out of God and by God, which Adam had received after the creation of Eve was, in consequence of that indulgence, withdrawn from him; for I saw that the instant Adam left his hill to go to Eve, the Lord grasped him in the back and took something from him. From that I felt that the world’s salvation would come.

At the same instant, I saw the Virgin issuing from Adam’s side like a little luminous cloud, and soaring all resplendent up to God.

By the reception of the fruit, Adam and Eve became, as it were, intoxicated, and their consent to sin wrought in them a great change. It was the serpent in them. Its nature pervaded theirs, and then came the tares among the wheat.

As punishment and reparation, circumcision was instituted. As the vine is pruned that it may not run wild, may not become sour and unfruitful, so must it be done to man that he may regain his lost perfection. Once when the reparation of the Fall was shown me in symbolical pictures, I saw Eve in the act of issuing from Adam’s side, and even then stretching out her neck after the forbidden fruit. She ran quickly to the tree and clasped it in her arms. In an opposite picture, I saw Jesus born of the Immaculate Virgin. He ran straight to the Cross and embraced it. I saw posterity obscured and ruined by Eve, but again purified by the Passion of Jesus. By the pains of penance must the evil love of self be rooted out of the flesh. The word of the Epistle that the son of the handmaid shall not be joint heir,

I always understood to mean the flesh and slavish subjection thereto, typified under the figure of the handmaid. Marriage is a state of penance. It calls for prayer, fasting, alms deeds, renunciation, and the intention to increase the Kingdom of God.

Adam and Eve before sin were very differently constituted from what we, poor, miserable creatures now are. With the reception of the forbidden fruit, they imbibed a material existence. Spirit became matter; flesh, an instrument, a vessel. At first they were one in God, they sought self in God; but afterward they stood apart from God in their own will. And this self-will is self-seeking, a lusting after sin and impurity. By eating the forbidden fruit, man turned away from his Creator. It was as if he drew creation into himself. All creative power, operations, and attributes, their commingling with one another and with all nature, became in man material things of different forms and functions.

Once man was endowed with the kingship of nature, but now all in him has become nature. He is now one of its slaves, a master conquered and fettered. He must now struggle and fight with nature—but I cannot clearly express it. It was as if man once possessed all things in God, their Creator and their Center; but now he made himself their center, and they became his master.

I saw the interior, the organs of man as if in the flesh, in corporeal, corruptible images of creatures, as well as their relations with one another, from the stars down to the tiniest living thing. All exert an influence on man. He is connected with all of them; he must act and struggle against them, and from them suffer. But I cannot express it clearly since I, too, am a member of the fallen race.

Man was created to fill the choirs of the fallen angels. Were it not for the Fall of Adam, the human race would have increased only till the number of the fallen angels was reached, and then the world would have come to an end. Had Adam and Eve lived to see even one sinless generation, they would not have fallen. I am certain that the world will last until the number of the fallen angels has been filled, until the wheat shall have been reaped from the chaff.

Once I had a great and connected vision of sin and the whole plan of Redemption. I saw all mys-teries clearly and distinctly, but it is impossible for me to put all into words. I saw sin in its innumerable ramifications from the Fall of the angels and from Adam’s Fall down to the present day, and I saw all the preparations for the repairing and redeeming down to the coming and death of Jesus. Jesus showed me the extraordinary blending, the intrinsic uncleanness of all creatures, as well as all that He had done from the very beginning for their purification and restoration.

At the Fall of the angels, myriads of bad spirits descended to earth and into the air. I saw many creatures under the influence of their wrath, possessed by them in many ways.

The first man was an image of God, he was like Heaven; all was one in him, all was one with him. His form was a reproduction of the Divine Prototype. He was destined to possess and to enjoy earth and all created things, but holding them from God and giving thanks for them. Man was, however, free; therefore was he subjected to trial, therefore was he forbidden to eat of the Tree of Knowledge. In the beginning, all was smooth and level. When the little mound, the shining hill upon which Adam stood arose, when the white, blooming vale by which I saw Eve standing was hollowed out, the corruptor was already near.

After the Fall, all was changed. All forms of creation were produced in self, dissipated in self. What had been one became many, creatures no longer looked to God alone, each was concentrated in self.

Mankind at first numbered two, then three, and at last they became innumerable. They had been images of God; but after the Fall, they became images of self, which images originated in sin. Sin placed them in communication with the fallen angels. They sought all their good in self and the creatures around them with all of whom the fallen angels had connection; and from that interminable blending, that sinking of his noble faculties in self and in fallen nature, sprang manifold wickedness and misery.

My Affianced showed me this clearly, distinctly, intelligibly’ more clearly than one beholds the things of daily life. At the time, I thought that a child might comprehend it, but now I cannot repeat it. He showed me the whole plan of Redemption with the way in which it was to be effected, as also all that He Himself had done. I saw that it is not right to say that God need not have become man, need not have died for us upon the Cross; that He could, by virtue of His omnipotence, have redeemed us otherwise. I saw that He did what He did in conformity with His own infinite perfection, His mercy, and His justice; that there is indeed no necessity in God, He does what He does, He is what He is!

I saw Melchisedech as an angel and a type of Jesus, as a priest upon the earth; inasmuch as the priesthood is in God, he was an angel priest of the eternal hierarchy. I saw him preparing, founding, building up, and separating the human family, and acting toward them as a guide. I saw too, Enoch and Noe, what they represented, what they effected; on the other side, I saw the ever-active empire of Hell and the infinitely varied manifestations and effects of an earthly, carnal, diabolical idolatry. And I saw in all these manifestations similar pestiferous forms and figures leading, so to say, by a secret, inborn necessity and an uninterrupted process of dissolution to sin and corruption. In this manner, I saw sin and the prophetic, foreshadowing figures of

Redemption which, in their way, were images of divine power as man himself in the image of God. All were shown me from Abraham to Moses, from Moses to the Prophets, also the way in which they were connected and their reference to similar types in our own day. Thus, for instance, with these visions of the Old Testament was connected the instruction I received upon the reason priests no longer relieve or cure, why it is either not in their power, or why it is now effected so differently from what it used to be. I saw this gift of the priesthood possessed by the Prophets, and the signi-fication of the form under which it was exercised was shown me. I saw, for example, the history of Eliseus giving his staff to Giezi to lay upon the dead child of the Sunamitess. In this staff lay spiritually Eliseus’s mission and power. It was, as it were, his arm, the prolongation of his arm.

And here I saw the interior signification and power of a Bishop’s crosier and a monarch’s scepter. If used with faith, they unite both Bishop and monarch in a certain way with Him from whom they hold their dignity, with God, marking them out at the same time as distinct from all others. But Giezi’s faith was not firm, and the mother thought that only through Eliseus himself could help be obtained; and so between Eliseus’s power from God and his staff, the questionings of human presumption intervened, and the staff cured not. Then I saw Eliseus praying and stretching himself, hand to hand, mouth to mouth, breast to breast, upon the boy, and the soul of the boy returned to his body. It was explained to me that this manner of healing referred to and prefigured the death of Jesus. In Eliseus, by faith and the power conferred by God, were opened again in man all the avenues of grace and expiation that had been closed after the Fall: viz., the head, the breast, the hands, and the feet. Eliseus stretched himself as a living, symbolical cross upon the dead, closed cross of the boy’s form, and through his prayer of faith life was restored. He expiated, he atoned for the sins the parents had committed by their head, heart, hands, and feet—sins that had brought death to their boy.

Side by side with the above, I saw pictures of the Wounds of Jesus and of His death upon the Cross, by which I traced the harmony between Jesus and His Prophet. Since the Crucifixion of Jesus, the gift of healing and repairing has existed in full measure among the priests of His Church and in general among faithful Christians; for in the same proportion as we live in Him and are crucified with Him, are those avenues of grace, His Sacred Wounds, opened to us. I learned many things of the imposition of hands, the efficacy of a benediction, and the influence exerted by the hand, even at a distance—all was explained by the staff of Eliseus, which symbolized the hand.

That priests of the present day so seldom cure and bless, was shown me in an example significant to that conformity to Jesus upon which depend all such effects. I saw three artists making figures of wax. The first used beautiful white wax, and he was both skillful and intelligent. But he was self-conceited, the image of Christ was not in him, and his work was of no value. The second used wax not so white as that of the first, and his indolence and self-will spoiled all. He did nothing at all. The third was awkward and unskillful; but he worked away in his simplicity and with great diligence on common yellow wax. His work was excellent, a speaking likeness, although the features were coarse. I saw renowned preachers vaunting their worldly wisdom, but effecting nothing; while many a poor, unlettered man exercises by the priestly power alone the gift of healing and blessing.

It seemed to me, while all this was shown me, that I was in school. My Affianced made me see how He had suffered from His conception to His death, always expiating, always satisfying for sin. I saw this in distinct visions of His life. I saw too that, by prayer and the offering of sufferings for others, many souls that have done no good upon earth may be converted and saved at the hour of death.

I saw also that the Apostles were sent over the greater part of the earth to crush the power of Satan and to scatter benedictions. It was just those regions into which they went that had been most thoroughly infected by the evil one. Jesus, by His perfect atonement, acquired that power against Satan for such as had received or such as would receive His Holy Spirit, and He secured it to them forever. I was given to understand that the power to withdraw various regions of the earth from Satan’s dominion by means of a blessing, is signified by the words: “Ye are the salt of the earth.” For the same reason is salt one of the ingredients of holy water.

I saw, too, in this vision that the punctilios of sensual, worldly life are most scrupulously observed. I saw the malediction following the reversed blessing. I saw the pretended miracles in the kingdom of Satan. I saw that the worship of nature, superstition, magic, mesmerism, worldly arts and science, and all the means employed to smooth death over, to make sin attractive, to lull the conscience, are practiced with rigorous exactitude, even with fanaticism by the very men who regard the ceremonies of the Holy Church as superstitious forms, for which any other may be indifferently substituted. And yet these men subject their whole life and all their actions to certain ceremonious observances. It is only of the kingdom of the God-Man that they make no account. The world is served with perfection, but the service of God is shamefully neglected!
