HOLY FACE DEVOTION

Promises of the Holy Face:

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/17LxwLE8N2/

I will grant them contrition so perfect that their very sins shall be changed in My sight into jewels of precious gold.

By My Holy Face, you shall work miracles, appease the anger of God and draw down mercy on sinners.

According to the care they take in making reparation to My Face, disfigured by blasphemers, so will I take care of their souls which have been disfigured by sin.

My Face is the Seal of the Divinity which has the virtue of reproducing in souls the image of God.

All those who by words, prayers or writing defend My cause in this Work of Reparation, I will defend before My Father and would give them His Kingdom. This promise extend to priests.

At their death, I will purify their souls by effacing all the blots of sin and will restore to them their primitive beauty.

As in a kingdom they can procure all that is desired with a coin stamped with the King’s effigy, so in the Kingdom of Heaven they will obtain all they desire with the precious coin of My Holy Face.

Those who on earth contemplate the wounds of My Face shall in Heaven behold it radiant with glory.

They will receive in their souls a bright and constant irradiation of My Divinity, that by their likeness to My Face they shall shine with particular splendor in Heaven.

I will defend them, I will preserve them and I assure them of Final Perseverance.

All those who honor My Holy Face in a spirit of reparation, will by so doing perform the office of the pious Veronica.

Nothing that you ask in making this offering will be refused to you; and the conversion of many sinners will be obtained.. Oh, if you only knew, how pleasing is the sight of My Face to My Father!”

Additional Promises of Our Lord Jesus Christ to Those Devoted to His Holy Face:

None of these persons shall ever be separated from Me.

In offering My Face to My Father, they will appease His anger and they will purchase as with celestial coin, pardon for poor sinners. I will open My Mouth to plead with My Father to grant all the petitions that they will present to Me.

I will illuminate them with My light.  I will consume them with My love, and I will render them fruitful of good works.

They will, as the pious Veronica, wipe My adorable Face outraged by sin, and I will imprint My divine Features in their souls.

At their death, I will renew in them the image of God effaced by sin.

By resemblance to My Face, they will shine more than many others in eternal life and the brilliancy of My Face will fill them with joy.

These promises are drawn from the works of Saint Gertrude, of Saint Mechtilde and from the writings of Sister Maria de Saint Pierre, a Carmelite who died at Tours in the odour of sanctity.

The Eternal Father says:

“My Children! In the horrible time that will come over the human race, the Holy Face will be very helpful, (a real cloth to dry the tears); because My real children will hide behind it. The Holy Face will be a real blessing, so that the punishment that I will send over the human race will be lessened. In the homes where it is exhibited will be light in order to be freed from the power of darkness. In the homes where the Holy Face of My Son is located, I will order My angels to mark them, and My children will be spared from the evils that will come over ungrateful humanity. My children become real apostles of the Holy Face and spread it all over. The more it is spread the less will be the catastrophe.”

Message of the Holy Face of Jesus on December 15th, 1969 in the Sacred Place of the Lentisco in El Palmar de Troya:

“Truly, truly I tell you, that to all of you who have adored My Divine Face with faith, humility and compassion, and have meditated on My Passion and Death, holding yourselves to blame for My Death, I promise infinite graces and will never abandon you.

I promise that you will see My Divine Face for all eternity. You should pray many Rosaries of the Our Fathers, adore My Face, make the Way of the Cross, receive Holy Communion every First Thursday of every month throughout all the years leading up to My forthcoming arrival among you, which will be very soon, and you will enjoy unalterable peace. Satan will be bound up for all eternity. You will never again suffer either sickness, or anything that causes pain, because sin will be forever banished from souls.”

The Holy Face of Jesus

Our Lord gave to the Carmelite, Sister Mary of St. Peter [1816-1848], many promises for those who honor His Holy Face. These include:

"By My Holy Face you will work wonders."

"Through this Holy Face you will obtain the conversion of many sinners. Nothing that you ask in virtue of the Holy Face will be refused you. Oh, if you only knew how pleasing is the sight of My Face to My Father!"

"Just as, in an earthly kingdom, money which is stamped with the picture of the sovereign or ruling executive of the country procures whatever one desires to purchase, so, likewise, in the Kingdom of Heaven, you shall obtain all that you desire by offering the coin of My precious humanity, which is My adorable Face."

"I will give you My adorable Face, and each time that you present it to My Father, My mouth will be open to plead your cause."

Here is a brief but powerful Holy Face offering, which can be memorized and repeated many times during the day:

Offering of the Holy Face: ETERNAL Father, I offer Thee the adorable Face of Thy Beloved Son, for the honor and glory of Thy Name, for the conversion of sinners, and for the salvation of the dying. [Here you may add: especially (Name)]

Holy Face Prayer for Sinners by St. Therese of Lisieux ETERNAL Father, since Thou hast given me for my inheritance the Adorable Face of Thy Divine Son, I offer that Face to Thee. I beg Thee, in exchange for this coin of infinite value, to forget the ingratitude of  souls dedicated to Thee and to pardon all poor sinners.

The following prayer was dictated by Our Lord to Sister Mary of St. Peter as a prayer of reparation for sins of blasphemy. He told her that the two sins which offend Him most grievously are blasphemy and the profanation of Sunday. He called this prayer the "Golden Arrow," and told Sister Mary of St. Peter that by saying it a soul would pierce Him delightfully and heal the wounds inflicted on Him by the malice of sinners. Sister Mary saw, streaming from the Sacred Heart of Jesus, which was delightfully wounded by this "Golden Arrow," torrents of graces for the conversion of sinners.

This seems to be one of the secrets of Heaven, i.e., that prayers of reparation have a double effect: in addition to making atonement to God, they act as a holy "boomerang" to bring down a shower of graces on souls, as well as on the one who offers them.

The Golden Arrow may be said alone or along with the seven short prayers that follow, all of which were revealed to Sr. Mary of St. Peter. Together they compose one of the most powerful Catholic prayers we have.

The Golden Arrow

MAY the most holy, most sacred, most adorable, most incomprehensible and ineffable Name of God be always praised, blessed, loved, adored and glorified in Heaven, on earth and under the earth, by all the creatures of God and by the Sacred Heart of  our Lord Jesus Christ in the most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Amen.

(Example of Prayers)

O Lord Jesus Christ, in presenting ourselves before Thine adorable Face to ask of Thee the graces of which we stand most in need, we beseech Thee above all, to grant us that interior disposition of never refusing at any time to do what Thou requirest of us by Thy holy Commandments and Divine inspirations. Amen.

O good Jesus, Who hast said, 'Ask and you shall receive, Seek and you shall find, Knock and it shall be opened to you'; grant, us, O Lord, that faith which obtains all, or supply in us what may be deficient; grant, us, by the pure effect of Thy charity and for Thine eternal glory the graces which we need, and which we look for from Thine infinite mercy. Amen.

Be merciful to us, O my God, and reject not our prayers, when amid our afflictions, we call upon Thy Holy Name and seek with love and confidence Thine adorable Face. Amen.

O Almighty and Eternal God, look upon the Face of Thy Son Jesus. We present It to Thee with confidence to implore Thy pardon. The All-Merciful Advocate opens His mouth to plead our cause; hearken to His cries, behold His tears, O God, and through  His infinite merits hearken to Him when He intercedes for us poor miserable sinners. Amen.

Adorable Face of my Jesus, my only Love, my Light, and my Life, grant that I may know Thee, love Thee and serve Thee alone, that I may live with Thee, of Thee, by Thee and for Thee. Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the adorable Face of Thy Beloved Son for the honor and glory of Thy Name, for the conversion of sinners and the salvation of the dying.

O Divine Jesus, through Thy Face and Name, save us. Our hope is in the virtue of Thy Holy Name!

Offering of the Day to the Holy Face:

Holy Face of my sweet Jesus, living and eternal expression of divine love and martyrdom suffered for human redemption, I adore You and I love You. I consecrate my entire being to You today and always. I offer You, through the most pure hands of the Immaculate Queen, the prayers, actions, and sufferings of this day, to atone for and make reparation for the sins of poor creatures. Make me your true apostle. May your gentle gaze always be present in me and be illuminated with mercy at the hour of my death. So be it. Holy Face of Jesus, look upon me with mercy.

Act of Reparation to the Holy Face:

I adore and praise You, my divine Jesus, Son of the living God, for all the outrages You have suffered for me, the most miserable of Your creatures, in all the sacred members of Your body, but especially in the noblest part of Yourself, that is, Your Face. I salute You, loving Face, bruised by the blows and blows You received, stained by spittle and disfigured by the ill treatment You suffered from the wicked Jews. I salute You, beautiful eyes, bathed in the tears You shed for our salvation. I salute You, sacred ears, tormented by an infinite number of blasphemies, insults, and bloody jokes. I salute You, holy mouth, full of grace and sweetness for sinners, and watered with gall and vinegar by the monstrous ingratitude of those You chose as Your people. Finally, I greet you, O Jesus, my Savior, covered with new insults by the blasphemers and wicked of our days: I adore you and I love you.
